School Project

After a week of club activity with families that live rough on the disused rubbish tip in May 2010, on our behalf Romanian Relief, financed by Hope for the Family, have arranged through the education authorities for the children and parents to attend a two year fast track schooling programme known as Last Chance School, which takes place three days a week during term time and started in October 2010.
Initially documents, such as identity cards or birth certificates were obtained, along with medical tests, treatment and vaccines before they were allowed to attend. The budget also included clothing, shoes, school books, transport, vitamins and food every day.
The authorities have provided a school room and should be paying the teacher's salary, but they state that their budget cannot allow for this and so this is also being financed by Hope for the Family.
With the help of a team from Loose Baptist Church a shower was installed in the school so that those attending can take a shower at the school.
