They have worked in Tinca,
which is about 30km from Oradea, since 2001, providing a better standard of
life for underprivileged children and struggling families through medical care,
education and family support.
Safe Homes was established in 2005 and comprises
two families for 12 abandoned children with special needs. Since living
there each child has received the special love and care that is needed to rehabilitate
it from the physiological damage that they previously suffered from being
institutionalised in state orphanages. The children have shown phenomenal improvements,
thanks to the dedicated team of staff and specialists.
Hope for
the Family provides sponsorship for Safe Homes, in particular twins that would
have been separated by the state, putting the special needs child into care and
fostering the other to a family. Three poor families are being supported to
improve their desperate living conditions, help them to find work and educate them
to improve their prospects. |
