Projects supported by Loose Baptist Church teams

Loose Baptist Church wanted a first hand taste of mission and to be involved with practical support towards the projects that Hope for the Family has been providing in Romania, so a team went out on two occasions in the last year to carry out special projects in Oradea, with a third in October 2010. Hope for the Family with Caminul Felix and FSF identified the projects, but the team members funded their own transport and accommodation and the church members met the cost of the projects.

The first visit included painting the inside of one of Caminul Felix homes by most of the team and two plumbers fitted out a new bathroom for one of the foster families. Everyone worked hard and by the end of the week were all tired, but the result was very satisfying.

The second visit with a lot of help from Caminul Felix was to have an activity programme for the children living on the rubbish tip. It was not only enjoyed by them, but also the parents came too. Fun included music, craft, and games, ending with some food. The last day was to have a barbeque on land near to the rubbish tip. Although it rained all day it did not stop the fun activities or the cooking and eating of lots of sausages.

The third project was to install a shower for the Second Chance School in a toilet area and painting the exterior of Sunflower workshop, Caminul Felix. Food was distributed to the families on the rubbish tip and the week ended with a bbq there.
